Abhivruddi’s Silk India-2025 expo from tomorrow

July 24, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: In celebration of the auspicious Varamahalakshmi Festival, Abhivruddi has organised ‘Silk India-2025,’ a spectacular 11-day silk exhibition at Nanjaraja Bahaddur Choultry on Vinobha Road in city from July 25 to Aug. 4 from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm.

India remains the world’s leading producer of silk, offering a diverse range of varieties that cater to both domestic and international demand. Among the most prominent types are Mulberry, Tussar, Eri and Muga, each cultivated under specific climatic and geographic conditions. Notably, Tussar and Muga are wild silks produced by silkworms that feed on organically grown trees, primarily in the States of Bihar, Assam and Chhattisgarh.

“Silk India-2025 aims to bridge the gap between traditional weavers and customers by offering direct access to a wide variety of authentic silk products — eliminating the middleman,” said T. Abhinand, organiser from Abhivruddi.

The expo will feature a rich collection of silk sarees and garments from across India, including Arini, Kanjeevaram, Uppada, Gadwal, Paithani, Dharmavaram, Mangalagiri and Pochampalli silk sarees, Tussar suits, Crepe & Georgette sarees, Chiffon silk, Raw silk, Jute silk, Dhaka silk and handloom silk-cotton blends, Designer and wedding sarees, stoles, silk shawls and much more.

In addition, the expo will showcase handblock print sarees and suits, silk bed covers, designer dress materials and borders, kurtis, Matka and Assam Muga fabrics, Apoorva silks, Baluchari, Dhaka Masli, Gicha saris, boutique and Kantha sarees, Zardosi and Chikankari work, Bhagalpur suits, Printed silk, Banarasi, Maheshwari, Chanderi, Kota silk, Mulberry silk with temple borders, Banaras Jamdani and other hand-woven masterpieces.
