Chinmaya Amrutha Mahotsava

Mysore/Mysuru: A journey of spiritual awakening that served as a beacon light, in the independent Bharata, which had just started to blink its eyes in the modern world, is completing 75                        glorious years in 2026.

Chinmaya Movement that started on Dec. 31, 1951, at a Ganesha Temple in Pune, Maharashtra and spread across the globe, is celebrating Amrutha Mahotsava.

As part of this mega event, a vehicle named ‘Amrutha Vahini,’ carrying the divine Padukas of  Pujya Swamy Chinmayanandaji, is travelling across the country before reaching Delhi in the month of October this year, spreading the teachings of Pujya Gurudev Swamy Chinmayanandaji.

The Amrutha Vahini is coming to Mysuru on Mar.6 and 7. On this auspicious occasion, the Mysuru centre has organised programmes at various places in city.

On Mar. 6, the programme will be held between 11 am and 1 pm at the Chinmaya Mission centre, ‘Sri Gurudeva Datta Sannidhi,’ #148, 6th Main, Gokulam 3rd Stage, Mysuru.

Pujya Swamy Mahamedhanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Mysuru, will be the chief guest.

On Mar. 7, three events are planned. The first event is at ‘Sri Rama Kshetra,’ #91, 5th Main, Sarvajanika Hostel Road, Vidyaranyapuram, Mysuru, from 9.30 am to 10.30 am.

Mass Chanting of Hanuman Chalisa will be done during the programme.

Between 11 am and 12.30 pm, the second event will be held at ‘Sri Shivananda Jnaanalaya,’ Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road, Lakshmipuram. Dr. K.L. Prasannakshi will be the chief guest on this occasion.

The main programme of this Amrutha Yatra will be held at ‘Sri Sachchidananda Vilasa,’ Sringeri Shankara Mutt, Fort Mohalla, Mysuru, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace this occasion.

The 15th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita and five jewels from the Bhagavad Gita named ‘Geetha Panchamritha’ will be chanted in chorus by all the devotees.
