Police Public School, Jalapuri, Mysuru, had organised it’s Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city recently.
While Diamond House emerged the Champions, Sapphire House finished Runner-up. ‘The Best Platoon’ for Marching went to Emerald House.
The Individual Champions in various divisions are as follows:
Sub-Junior — Girls: C. Sheetal (Sapphire House); Boys: Ganesh Murthy (Emerald House) and Ronith V. Gowda (Diamond House).
Junior — Girls: Lekhana S. Prasad (Diamond House); Boys: A. Badrinath (Ruby House).
Inter Girls: Deekshitha (Diamond House); Inter Boys: Navaneeth (Sapphire House).
Senior — Girls: Syeda Tasmiya (Diamond House); Boys: Milind Nanjappa (Emerald House) and Milind S. Prasad (Diamond House).
There were events for the Class 11 students and a special event for the Parents — Bombing the City. Events were also conducted for the tiny-tots of the Nursery sections and Classes 1, 2 and 3.
IGP (Southern Range) and KSPW&E Trust Hon. President Sharath Chandra presided over the event. Former International Basketball player Divya Dechamma was the chief guest.
The IGP in his message stressed on the importance of holistic education, while the chief guest in her speech recollected how the stadium was dear to her — she received her Dasara Award at this very stadium in 1988, and how it was important for students to have a healthy mind in a healthy body.
Vice-Principal Deena Uthappa welcomed the gathering. Principal Rennie Joseph Mendonce proposed a vote of thanks.
