Mysuru: The 10th Annual Sports Meet of Seshadripuram Independent Pre-University College, Mysuru, was held at the MUDA Sports Complex, Vijayanagar 1st Stage, here recently.

Athlete and Anaesthesiologist Dr. Chinthana M. Patkar, Sheshadripuram Degree College Principal Dr. K.  Sowmya Erappa, PU College Principal N. Archana Swamy and PE Instructor Pradeep Kumar gave a radiant start to the energetic programme by releasing the pigeons to spread the message of peace and harmony.

The programme began with the administration of oath, instigating the sportsmanship in all the participants. Chief guest Dr. Chinthana spoke about the importance of sports in daily life and encouraged the students to explore their talents and abilities to reach their goals. Principal N. Archana Swamy, in her address, encouraged the participants to boost their sportsman spirit.

The sports meet included various events like Shot-Put, Javelin Throw; Discus Throw, 100 mts, 200 mts, 400mts, 800 mts and 1500mts Run and 4×100 mts Relay among others.
