Mysuru: A lady advocate has lodged a complaint against her husband and his family members at Vijayanagar Police Station for assaulting her parents and making away with household items and the mangalya of her mother.
The lady advocate, who has lodged a complaint, is Karunashri, while her husband has been identified as K.P. Murali.
It is reported that Karunashri, who had married K.P. Murali, had differences and Murali had left his wife Karunashri and was living separately along with his parents.
Karunashri, who had staged a protest in front of her husband’s house for many days, had moved into the house along with her parents and was living there, it is learnt. The complaint states that Karunashri left for Bengaluru on May 4 to take up the Junior Judge exam, during which her husband Murali along with his father Palaksha, mother Prema, Prassanna of Somwarpet, house owner Venkataramu, along with other people, barged into the house, assaulted her parents, snatched away the mangalya of her mother and also made away with household items.
Meanwhile, Vijayanagar Inspector Guruprasad, speaking to SOM, said that Murali’s father Palaksha, has also lodged a complaint against the family members of Karunashri. He said that both the families had issues since many days and both the families have lodged many complaints against each other. The Inspector said that investigations pertaining to both the complaints were in progress.
