Mysuru: The IEEE Student Branch of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, has received Outstanding Medium Student Branches Award in recognition of its outstanding contribution during the year 2019. This award was distributed by IEEE Bengaluru Section during its AGM held at MSRIT Bengaluru recently.

GSSSIETW Student Branch organises many technical and extracurricular activities for the benefit of students. Resource persons are invited from reputed industries and institutions to act as jury members for the events. IEEE Student Members are encouraged to volunteer in hosting such events and also motivated to participate in workshops, conferences and societal activities.

The award was conferred based on the number of quality professional meetings, continuing educational activities, conferences, workshops, distinguished lecturer programmes conducted, number of IEEE student memberships and the number of students who took part in the activities held by the IEEE Student Branch of GSSSIETW.
