The Social Welfare Department has invited applications for Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Award and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Award, as part of the 118th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram (Apr. 5) and 134th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (Apr. 14) respectively.

Candidates, who have worked for the cause of uplift of Scheduled Castes (SC) and have made notable contributions, are eligible to apply for the awards.

The prescribed application forms can be obtained from the Office of Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department, either at the district-level or taluk-level offices and submit the two sets of duly filled-in applications at the respective taluk-level Social Welfare Department office, along with relevant documents.

Last date to apply is Feb. 18, according to a release from the Office of the Joint Director, Social Welfare Department.
