Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Mysore Midtown, a part of Rotary International, has been successfully organising the “Baandhavya” programme for the past 15 years.
This year too, the Club is conducting “Baandhavya-2026,” a special sports meet for children with special needs at Oval Grounds in city on Mar. 1.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 9 am, with DGE Rtn. Ravishankar Dakoju, RID 3192, as the chief guest. Rtn. Naveen Chandra, Assistant Governor, Zone 7, will be the guest of honour.
About 500 special children, along with 300 parents and 125 teachers, will be participating in the event.
Special games have been organised for children below 8 years of age. For children above 8 years, various competitions such as running, long jump, shot put throw, and tennis ball throw will be conducted.
Winners will be awarded medals and winning teams will receive trophies. All participants will receive attractive gifts.
The valedictory ceremony will take place at 4.30 pm, during which the achievements of the children will be recognised.
