Beggar woman found dead

Mysuru: A beggar woman was found dead at the bus shelter on Bengaluru Road at the entrance of Siddiqi Nagar in city on Wednesday.

As no external injuries were found, N.R. Police, who suspected that the woman may have died of heart attack, have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.

The deceased woman is aged between 40 and 45 years. Locals said that she used to beg in and around Siddiqi Nagar. Local residents, who found her sleeping in the bus shelter for long suspected that she was dead and informed the Police, who reached the spot and conducted an inspection to find her dead.

Police said that the body will be kept at MMC&RI mortuary for two days, and if no one claims the body, post-mortem will be conducted and the last rites will be performed.

N.R. Police have registered a case in this regard.
