Bengaluru Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede: HC grants bail to all four accused

Bengaluru: The High Court (HC) yesterday granted bail to all four accused in the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede case including RCB Marketing and Revenue Head Nikhil Sosale. 

The others, who were granted bail include DNA Entertainment Private Limited employees Sunil Mathew, Kiran Kumar and Shamanth Mavinakere.

The HC Bench headed by Justice S.R. Krishna Kumar said, “Police had neither conducted any investigation nor produced any credible material” while granting bail to all four accused.

The accused were also directed not to leave the Court’s jurisdiction, deposit their passports with the trial court and execute a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh each.

It may be recalled that all four were arrested by Bengaluru City Police on June 5 following the stampede incident in front of Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on June 4.
