Mysore/Mysuru: B. Chandra, Physical Education Teacher of Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha (GSSS), Mysuru, has been honoured with the Best Physical Education Teacher Award on  Sept. 6. GSSS runs Gita Bharati School of Excellence, GSSS Bantwal Madhava Shenoy High School and GSSS Badriprasadji PU College in  Siddarthanagar.

This award was conferred on him by the Administration and Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru – School Education Division, South Zone, Mysuru District, in recognition of his outstanding dedication, leadership and remarkable contribution to the  field of sports and physical education.

Under his able guidance, the students of the institution have consistently excelled in sports at the Zonal, Inter-Zonal, District, Divisional, State and National levels, bringing laurels to the school year after year.

From 2006 to 2025, GSSS students have secured several first places in Kabaddi, Ball Badminton (Boys & Girls), Athletics, Volleyball, High Jump, Long Jump, Running Races, Shot Put, Discus Throw & Swimming.
