Mysore/Mysuru: Established by the State Government, Rangayana Mysuru is a full-fledged theatre repertory. Along with it, Bharatiya Rangashikshana Kendra, set up 11 years ago, is a theatre training school which is recognised by Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, from the year 2020-21.
The academic year of the Theatre School, which was scheduled to begin from July this year, was delayed due to Corona crisis. However, the School will restart its activities from tomorrow (Nov. 6). As always, this year too, 20 talented candidates have been selected from various districts for the theatre training.
The course will be inaugurated at Rangayana premises tomorrow at 11 am. KSGH Music and Performing Arts University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote and theatre personality Prakash Belavadi will be the chief guests. Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa will preside.
