Karnataka State Tribals Research Institute, District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Department of Scheduled Tribes, Mysuru, have jointly organised a function to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Birsa Munda and also Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Gaurav Divas campaign programme tomorrow at city’s Karnataka State Tribals Research Institute at Kergalli. The function will begin from 10.30 am. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy will be present.

District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the programme. Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda will preside. MPs Yaduveer Wadiyar and Sunil Bose, Minister K. Venkatesh, legislators of Mysuru and Mandya districts, Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations will participate in the function as guests, according to a press release.
