Blood donation camp, felicitation to mark birth anniversary of late actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan

Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of late Kannada actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s birth anniversary, a blood donation camp, cake cutting and felicitation programmes will be held by Dr. Vishnu Sena Samithi, Agrahara, on Sept.18, said President of the Samithi M.D. Parthasarathy. 

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan on Thursday he said, “A blood donation camp will be held at Dr. Vishnuvardhan Park located opposite Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in association with St.Joseph’s Hospital from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday. Public may take part in the camp voluntarily and extend their support towards donating blood, as hospitals are facing shortage of blood during the time of COVID pandemic.”

He further added, “The late actor’s birthday will be celebrated by cake cutting and distributing sweets. Also mass feeding will be held in Agrahara.”

 Senior fans of Dr. Vishnuvardhan — Indushekar from Chamarajanagar, Siddaraju from Madapura in H.D.Kote, Shivu from T. Narasipur, Ramakrishna from Mandya, Mahendra Singh Kalappa from Bannur and others — will be felicitated during the celebrations at Dr. Vishnuvardhan Park in city around 11 am, he added.    

Dr. Rajini from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Samithi Members Vikram Iyengar, Naveen Kempi, Harish and others were present at the press meet. 

Blood donation camp

A blood donation camp will be conducted on the occasion of Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s birth Anniversary by the Dr. Vishnu Seva Samithi at Nimishamba Layout in Kuvempunagar on Sept.18. 

The camp will be launched at 9.15 am. Advocate N.P. Amruthesh, President of Mysuru VHP N.K. Rajendra, Legal Advisor of Vishnu Sena Samithi S.T. Sadananda Gowda will take part in the camp.

Businessman B. Yeshwanth and Secretary of Umamaheshwari Temple B.V. Vanaja will offer floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Vishnuvardhan.
