Jeerunde Prakashana, Kalasuruchi and Chaaru Cultural Foundation will launch the book ‘Therigatha Kaanisida Hennu – Bauddha Dharmadalli Mahile’ by Dr. Shylaja at Kalasuruchi in Kuvempunagar on Mar. 23 at 11 am.

Dr. G. Ramakrishna, a well-known thinker, writer and philosopher and Dr. Du. Saraswathi, a woman, Dalit and human rights activist, writer and director, will initiate the discussion.  Shylaja is a retired Associate Professor of English, Government First Grade College, Nanjangud. Shylaja and her spouse T.S. Venugopal have jointly authored many books on music as Bhuvanada Bhagua MS, Vaadi Samvaadi, Sahaspandana etc., and have translated the works of DD Kosambi into Kannada, according to Foundation President D. Sheela Kumari.
