Mysore/Mysuru: A broken concrete pillar at the main door of Mysore Medical College & Research Institute (MMC&RI) which had fallen over a month ago has been finally cleared.

The pillar was obstructing the movement of citizens. But the institute authorities had failed to clear it. 

After the news under the title ‘Broken pillar of MMC&RI gate troubles pedestrians’ was published in SOM on July 28, the authorities became alert and removed the damaged pillar. 

After the concrete pillar broke and fell, it was not possible to close the main gate. It is high time that a new pillar be built soon to close the main gate at least on public holidays and nights for security purpose.
