C.N. Mahadeva Nayaka (70), retired Sub-Inspector and a resident of Chikkaiahna Chatra in the town, passed away following a heart attack in the early hours of today.

He leaves behind his wife, two daughters, one son and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at his native place this afternoon.
