Rangayana to issue applications on Apr.6
Mysuru: ‘Chinnara Mela,’ the popular children’s annual summer camp will be held at Rangayana on Hunsur Road in the city from Apr.14 to May 10.
The Chinnara Mela is increasingly getting popular with each passing year. This year, it will be a 27-day event. A large number of parents have started enquiring about the event for the past one month and parents are anxious to get admission to their wards.
Rangayana Deputy Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan said that Rangayana would start issuing application forms from 10 am on Apr. 6 (Sunday). The admission fee is Rs.3,000 per child. Only 250 application forms will be issued on a first-come-first-serve- basis. It was decided to issue application forms on a Sunday to benefit office-going parents.
The children are going to learn many things including drama, painting, creation of clay models, mass singing etc., he said adding that the 27-day summer camp would be highly worthy for children as they can learn several things which they cannot learn elsewhere, relax and rejoice their summer holidays in a most worthwhile manner.
