City athlete wins Silver in State Boxing League

S.G. Naveena, an athlete based out of Mysuru, won silver medal at the State-level Boxing League.

Naveena along with Yash Raj and Manish took part in ADDO boxing league which was sanctioned by Karnataka Amateur Boxing Association and held in Bengaluru on Jan. 16 and 17.

While Yash Raj and Manish were awarded ‘Certificate of Appreciation for their performance’ till quarter finals, Naveena won three bouts and lost to an opponent from Udupi in the finals.

All three athletes train under Samith Bhat at Genesis Mixed Martial Arts.
