Mysuru: City Scientist Dr. Prasanna K. Santhekadur, Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CEMR), JSS Medical College, JSS AHER, Mysuru, was invited as keynote speaker at the 3rd International Research Symposium on Multidisciplinary Approaches in Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IRSIKS 2025) which was jointly organised by Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, Yakkala, Sri Lanka and Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1.
Dr. Prasanna delivered a talk on ‘Nutraceuticals and Natural Compounds for Sustainable holistic Health and Wellness.’
The event was attended by a diverse array of local and international students and faculties, representing a broad spectrum of academic and professional domains. The Conference not only highlighted the importance of indigenous knowledge systems but also underscored the ongoing relevance of such systems in addressing modern-day health challenges.
