December 8, 2025

The officials of Forest Department and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) conducted a joint Mahajar from Kilometre 180.680 to 181.520 on NH-766 in Nanjangud limit between Kasaba hobli and Muddanahalli village for road widening and to cut trees for road widening. They have identified 98 — 44 trees of various types on the left side and 54 trees on the right side of the road near Muddanahalli — for felling. Hence, a meeting has been called near Santana Ganapati Temple in Sinduvallipura village on Nanjangud-Ooty Road on Dec. 10 at 11.30 am. Objections can be submitted personally at the meeting or to the office of the Range Forest Officer (RFO), near Hullahalli Circle, Nanjangud.
