Construction workers to stage indefinite stir at Bengaluru

Mysuru: Demanding fulfilment of their various demands, construction workers under the banner of Karnataka State Construction Workers Associations Co-ordination Committee, will stage an indefinite stir in front of Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Kaushalya Bhavan, Bannerghatta Road, ITI  compound, Diary Circle, Bengaluru, from 11am on Nov. 27 (tomorrow).

The demands include spending of Rs. 5,950 crore cess collected by the Welfare Board, only on labour welfare programmes, distribution of 12 facilities announced by the Board to the beneficiaries, appointment of an exclusive CEO and necessary staff to the Board and extension of financial aid to all labour welfare schemes, among others.
