Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Dasara festival, the city’s Janachaitanya Foundation has organised  a live  musical nite of old Kannada film hits with the theme ‘Mysuru Dasara Yeshtondu Sundara’  at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road at 4.30 pm on Oct.3.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday,  Foundation President R. Lakshman said that  social worker Raghuram Vajpayee will inaugurate the programme.

Kannada and Culture Department Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy, Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan and Senior Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will take part, he said.

Singers Joyce Vyshak, Y.M.Nagendra, Shantakumari, Narasimhamurthy, B.S. Vijay Anand and M.Rekha will render over 30 songs from old Kannada hits and Bhavageethe songs, Lakshman said and added that entry for the event will be free.
