Mysore/Mysuru: With the all important Kannada Rajyotsava (Nov. 1) just a week away, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham chaired a preparatory meeting at his office here on Monday.
Addressing the meeting, he said that the Rajyotsava will be celebrated in a purposeful manner.
He said that District Minister S.T. Somashekar will offer prayers to Bhuvaneshwari Devi in Mysore Palace premises at 8.30 am on Nov. 1 following which he will take part in the celebrations to place in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the North Gate of the Palace.
The DC directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for ensuring that the celebrations take place as per Government Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Natesh, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Zonal Commissioner M.K. Savitha, Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa, Information and Public Relations Assistant Director R. Raju, Karnataka Government Employees Association District President Govindaraju and other officials were present.
