Dr. CPK releases book on Kodavas

Mysuru: Rangabhoomi Kodagu Prakashana had organised a function at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises here this morning for the release of the book ‘Kodaginodeyaru Kodavaru’ written by Addanda C. Cariappa, a Kodagu-based Playwright, Actor and Director.

Releasing the book, Littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) hailed the book as an invaluable one and an excellent research material. He added that the book portrays the identity of Kodavas with qualitative and quantitative narration of history of Kodagu and culture of Kodavas.

Star of Mysore Editor-in-Chief K.B. Ganapathy presided.

Kannada scholar Dr. Gubbigoodu Ramesh spoke on the book. Advocate and environmental activist P.D. Medappa, Mysuru Kodava Samaja President M.K. Kuttappa, author of the book Addanda C. Cariappa, Anita Cariappa and others were present.

    Sub: regarding kodava language speaking people I.e kambuti poleya,marangi poleya schedule caste people
    my request is why there is no reference to above said orginal inhabitants of kodagu those two community is peace loving people those people who have not committed any crime in entire coorg district, wherein other state people who have migrated to coorg is manic to the society, and the above said people who speak coorg and they belongs to schedule caste community. please reply
