Mysore/Mysuru: Limerick poet Dr. MGR Urs’ book ‘Ursu Chutuku Chittaragalu,’ edited by Jahnavi Seetalakshmi Verma, was released at a programme organised by the city’s Anveshana Seva Trust at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road here recently.

Former Minister Rani Satish, who spoke after inaugurating the programme, said that Limerick gives a humorous form to literature and enthrals the minds of the readers. She recalled the contribution of top women writers such as Triveni and Anupama Niranjana to limerick works.

She further said that the book has reviewed the limericks scripted by over 20 women writers in a magnificent manner.

Former Karnataka Sanskrit University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Padma Shekar, Educationist Bhramara Bahaddur, former Bengaluru Kanteerava Studios Chairperson Vijayalakshmi Urs, former Doordarshan and Akashvani Director Dr. Nirmala C. Yeligar, the book editor Jahnavi Seetalakshmi Yeligar, Dr. MGR Urs and others were present on the occasion.
