Elderly woman loses gold, diamond jewellery in city bus

Mysuru: An elderly woman has lost her gold and diamond jewellery worth lakhs of rupees while travelling in a city bus on Tuesday.

The woman, who lost her jewellery, is 70-year-old Malini, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar in city.

On Tuesday afternoon, Malini boarded a city bus going towards Nazarbad to go to the Bank to keep her jewellery in the locker.

When she alighted at Hardinge Circle and walked for a distance, she noticed the zipper of the bag in which she had kept her gold bangles, diamond studded bangles, gold finger rings and gold chains, open and on examining the bag, she found the jewellery missing and lodged a complaint with jurisdictional Devaraja Police Station.
