Enters ‘India Book of Records’

Mysore/Mysuru: Odiyanda Nikil Appanna of Mysuru has entered the ‘India Book of Records’ for visiting the maximum number of ancient places and tourist spots in Karnataka by an individual.

Born on Nov. 19, 1985, he has visited 875 ancient places and tourist spots around Mysuru and Bengaluru from Jan. 1, 2019 to May 29, 2023, as confirmed on July 12, 2023.

His journey began in around 2011 when he initiated a unique endeavour. Every weekend, he embarked on visits to unexplored tourist and ancient sites in and around Mysuru and Bengaluru.

Through his efforts, he has brought to light over 500 unknown tourist destinations in the Mysuru and Bengaluru region through various social media platforms. He has collaborated with the State Tourism Department to launch a travel website that showcases various undiscovered places.
