Mysuru: G. Venkatesh has been unanimously elected as the Chairman and Senior Steward of the Mysore Race Club (MRC) Ltd., for the year 2024-25 until the conclusion of the next Annual General Body Meeting (AGM), according to a press release from the MRC Secretary and CEO.

K.N. Suresh Kumar had resigned as MRC Chairman on Feb. 13 after the MRC Managing Committee’s decision to move a no confidence motion against him for allegedly favouring Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) to construct golf huts in violation of the law. Following his resignation, Venkatesh was appointed as the Acting Chairman.
