Gram Panchayat employees to stage protest on July 28

Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, the CITU-affiliated Karnataka State Gram Panchayat Employees Association will stage a demonstration in front of Karmika Bhavan along Nanjangud Road, on July 28 at 11 am.

The demands include fixation of minimum wages, consideration of Tax Collectors, Clerks, Clerks-Cum Data Entry Operators as Highly skilled workers, Waterman and  Pump Operator cum Mechanic as ‘Skilled Workers,’ Pourakarmikas and drainage workers as ‘Unskilled Workers’ and bringing in Swachhata workers under the frame of minimum wages, among others, according to a press release.
