H1N1 flu, also known as swine flu, has claimed the life of a 45-year-old man in city.

The victim of the dreaded disease has been identified as N. Vasudeva Rao, son of Narayana Rao, a resident of Mandi Mohalla in city.

Vasudeva Rao fell ill due to H1N1 on Monday and the doctor had said that the situation was out of control following which Vasudeva Rao was admitted to Mission Hospital. He breathed his last on Tuesday night after failing to respond to treatment.

Meanwhile, DHO Dr. Basavaraju said that he has no information in this regard.
