House burgled at Nandini Layout

March 7, 2025

Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into a house using a duplicate key, have decamped with cash and gold jewellery from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Mayanga at Nandini Layout 1st Stage. Burglars have made away with Rs. 3.5 lakh cash, 25 grams of gold jewellery including one pair of gold earrings, one gold chain and a gold bracelet among other gold items.

On Mar. 1, Mayanga, along with his wife and son had gone to Mandya from where they left to Medini village in T. Narasipur and stayed overnight. When they returned the next evening, they found the door of the wardrobe open and on inspecting, they found Rs. 3 lakh cash and gold missing. When they inspected the almirah, they found Rs. 50,000 cash also stolen.

The locks of the front and rear doors were found intact leading to suspicion that the burglars may have entered the house by opening the lock using a duplicate key and again locked the door before fleeing from the house. Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
