Hubballi: Stating that he was ready to quit as MLC, senior leader C.M. Ibrahim, who is upset with the Congress for having denied him the post of Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council, has challenged Opposition Leader Siddharamaiah to quit his Assembly seat and contest again independently.
Speaking to press persons here yesterday, C.M. Ibrahim, an MLC, sought the co-operation of the media to take him forward in his political journey.
Asserting that he does not have money, he said that he has walked out of the Congress and there was no question of returning back. Contending that KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar has failed to keep his promise on setting right things in the Congress, Ibrahim said that he will decide on the party that he would join, in a week.
Stating that he has a liking for leaders such as H.D. Deve Gowda, Mamata Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav, he said that he will walk into the party that he likes, along with his supporters.
Maintaining that he has not received any phone call from Siddharamaiah so far, Ibrahim said that at the same time, he is not expecting any call from the Opposition Leader.
