The feature article titled “India becomes a Republic” in two parts by city’s well-known doctor Dr. C.D. Sreenivasa Murthy, is a very well-researched article (SOM dated Jan. 24 and 25).

Readers like me, who were born after India attained independence know very little about inside stories involving many of our netas! Unfortunately, only one family’s role is projected most and several large number of leaders who sacrificed their everything was never published. Thus, most of the historical facts we know today are not complete.

Dr. Murthy has penned down the other side of the story of independent India wonderfully. Thank you doctor for all your efforts.
