Mysore/Mysuru: The installation of new office-bearers of Inner Wheel Club of Mysore for the year 2024-25 was held on July 12 at a grand event at Oyster Bay.

The new team was installed by Past District Chairman Jannavi Murthy. Outgoing President Ramya Ashok handed over the baton to the newly elected President Pallavi Arun who shared her vision and goals for the upcoming year.

She emphasised the Club’s continued commitment to social causes, including women’s empowerment, education for underprivileged children and environmental sustainability.

The Inner Wheel Club of Mysore has been actively involved in various community service projects. To commemorate the event, the Club

donated groceries and medical kit to Sri Satya Sai Ananthanikethana Ashram worth Rs. 12,000 and spent Rs. 76,000 towards the fees of underprivileged students.

In collaboration with Rotary Mysore, the  Inner Wheel Club  donated an air compressor worth Rs. 18,000 to the voluntary organisation  “Samarpana.” This group of young individuals is dedicated to selecting Government Schools in poor condition and painting them with art work, free of cost.

On account of World Environment Day, the Club planted 60 tree saplings in a park at Skilltech South Point, J.P. Nagar. The Club also installed a board with the slogan “Nurturing Nature.”

Giving medical aid, empowering women, education for under- privileged children and cancer aid are some of the ongoing projects of the Inner Wheel Club.
