The BSNL internet service has become an intermittent service at best and not working for the rest of the time. The lack of understanding of the customer service representatives adds to our woes. After repeated complaints they sent a technician who could not find any fault and suggested waiting few more days and complain again. Apparently if more people complain the service may improve according to the technician.
BSNL is very prompt in sending bills to customers but are incredibly poor in providing service. Staff simply do not care and have an undesirable attitude towards complaining customers. It is high time that customers are provided quality service as promised. While the internet is readily available on most mobile phones, home users are subject to intermittent availability much like water supply during summers.

I agree with Mr. Mahesh on BSNL woes. It might be surprising that there is at least 1 complaint each week from our house(in Vivekanandanagar) related to internet service and phone disturbance. The technician has become a routine visitor to the house. I strongly believe that the reason for consistent issues is lack of will and skill from BSNL employees and their job security even with many complaints several offices. I had even written to many higher officials with the only response of sending technicians.
Understanding that there will be no improvement from BSNL and no good other service provider in the area, lodging complaints weekly has become a habit.
Due to this issues we terminated the connection itself from our house, at the end of every month we need to pay bills without using service.
