Introduce direct buses from Kuvempunagar Depot to Electronic City in Bengaluru

October 18, 2023

Sir,

Companies at Bengaluru are back to normalcy, hybrid working from home and in companies is transformed into working in one’s respective offices/companies, resulting to travel by KSRTC buses on Friday evenings after finishing work from Electronic City, Kuvempunagar (of Bengaluru) to Kengeri, Electronic City to Satellite Bus Stand via Majestic, when unable to catch buses from Kengeri to Mysuru due to weekend rush.

Despite running helter-skelter with bag and baggage, getting drenched and drowned in rain sometimes, as fully loaded buses neither stop nor enter the bus stand, again back to satellite bus stand to catch buses and vice-versa on Sunday, results in uncertain timings to reach our destinations at Mysuru.

Many a time we are forced to reach Mysuru during dead of night totally drained out, with lot of anxiety and fear in mind, risking ourselves to untoward incidents especially the weaker sex. Our aged and worried guardians will either be anxiously waiting at the bus stand/at home spending sleepless nights. So also we may not be able to resume our work in time on Monday.

In this connection, I request the KSRTC authorities to introduce direct buses from Kuvempunagar Depot (Mysuru) to Electronic City, to Kuvempunagar (near Silk Board, Bengaluru) and vice-versa. If the authorities feel it is really not feasible to run  buses daily, either new services may be introduced or already existing bus services of some  Bengaluru-Mysuru are extended at the end and beginning of the week for the benefit of all.
