Jewellery bag stolen from hotel room

Mysore/Mysuru: A bag containing gold jewellery has been reportedly stolen from the room of a hotel and a case has been registered at Nazarbad Police Station.

On Nov. 29, Pallavi, a resident of Dasarahalli in Bengaluru, who came to Mysuru along with her family members to take part in her sister’s wedding ceremony, took three rooms on rent at a hotel on Theobald Road in Nazarbad. They next day (Nov. 30), they attended the wedding at Lakshmikantha Temple in Hebbal and returned to the hotel.

The wedding reception was arranged at another hotel in the afternoon following which they vacated two rooms and kept all their belongings in one room of the hotel.

When they were getting ready for the reception, they found the bag containing gold ornaments worth about Rs. 2 lakh missing and assuming that they had left the bag in the other rooms, searched for it but in vain.

They then informed about it to the Hotel Manager and lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station on Dec. 6.
