JSS Polytechnic students shine in State Games of the Deaf

Karnataka State Federation of the Deaf had organised the 12th Karnataka State Games of the Deaf at Belagavi in December last.

In all, 39 hearing impaired students of JSS Polytechnic for the Differently Abled, Mysuru, participated in different sports and games and won several prizes. Prize-winners are as follows:

Agnes Jose (I sem CS) – 1st prize in Long Jump and 2nd in 200 mts Running Race.

Sowmya Navi (I sem JDT) – 1st prize in High Jump and 3rd prize in 100 mts Running.

Gangireddi Ankitha (V sem CS) – 2nd prize in 100 mts Running and 3rd in 200 mts Running.

Narasapuram Manasa (V sem CS) – 2nd prize in Shot-Put and 3rd prize in Discuss Throw.

Gayathri (V sem CS) – 2nd prize in High Jump.

Monisha (III sem AR) – 1st prize in Shuttle Badminton

Disha (III sem CS) – 2nd in Shuttle Badminton.

Sukshitha (V sem CS) – 3rd prize in Shuttle Badminton.

Prathamesh (I sem EC) – 1st in 100 mts Running (Junior).

Sayed Zabiulla (V sem CS) – 3rd in Javelin Throw, 3rd in High Jump Junior and 3rd in Long Jump.

Narendra Kumar (III sem EC) – 3rd in 200 mts Running.

Gokul (V sem EC) – 1st in High Jump.

Lingutla Ravi Kiran (V sem CS) – 2nd in High Jump.

Mallesh (III sem AR) – 1st in 100 mts Running.

Shivakumar (III sem CS) – 3rd in Shot-Put.

Vijay Kumar Kori (III sem EC) – 2nd in Shot-Put (Junior).

4×400 Relay: Junior Boys – 1st prize and Senior Boys – 1st prize

4×100 Relay: Senior Girls – 1st prize and Senior Boys – 2nd prize

Volleyball: Junior Boys – 1st Prize and Senior Boys – 2nd prize.
