K.L. Lingaiah (81), retired Health Inspector and a resident of Bastipura Road in the town, passed away following brief illness on Friday.

He leaves behind his wife Susheelamma, children L. Shashikumar, Director of Urban Planning Department in Bengaluru, Indresh, Latha, Uma, Savitha, Satish, Mahesh, Harish and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Nisarga Farm House at Madhuvanahalli on Gundal Dam Road yesterday afternoon.
