Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS), a Unit of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, have jointly organised Karnatak Classical Music Competition at VIIS, # CA-2, KIADB Industrial Housing Area, Ring Road, Hebbal, Mysuru, on Sept. 22. The competition is open for students in the age group of 13 to 22 years and it will be conducted in both Vocal and Instrumental categories. The contestant shall present a kriti along with a brief manodharma within a time limit of 6 minutes.
