Kempegowda Jayanti on June 27 in city

Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti will be held in Mysuru on June 27. Presiding over the preliminary meeting, Additional DC Dr. P. Shivaraju instructed the officials to make arrangements for a meaningful celebration.

The jayanti celebrations will be at Kalamandira premises as per the protocol announced by the State Government. Arrangements for drinking water, maintaining cleanliness, installation of shamiyanas and printing and distribution of invitation to dignitaries should be taken up on priority, he said.

Department of Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan said that various cultural groups would be invited to present programmes on the occasion apart from inviting elected representatives and members of various associations.
