Lecture-demonstrations to mark Zero Shadow Day on Apr. 22

The  Cosmology Education and Research Training Centre (COSMOS), Mysuru and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) along with the University of Mysore (UoM) have organised a public event on Apr. 22 at Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri to observe the Zero Shadow Day phenomenon. Zero Shadow Day for Mysuru occurs on Apr. 22 and Aug. 20, when the Sun is directly overhead at local noon and vertical objects cast no visible shadow.
