Mysuru: If things go as per plans, Mysuru will soon have its own botanical garden within a month. The Lingambudhi lake, which is being developed by the Horticulture Department, was inspected by Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep this morning.
Officials of Horticultural Department explained about various works taken up by the department which includes construction of pathways, fencing and others.
The Department also plans to set up sewage treatment plants in the lake premises to treat sewage water that enter the lake from surrounding areas. The department has till now spent Rs. 1.5 cr. for the project and also plans to seek more funds through tourism department as it plans to make it one of the tourist attractions in city.
