Man meets watery grave

Madikeri: A man, who had gone for a swim in Kuppooto River at Kolakeri village in Napoklu Gram Panchayat limits yesterday, met his watery grave.

The deceased has been identified as Devaiah (38), a resident of Vaatekadu in Kakkabe Kungila village. Devaiah, along with his brother had gone for estate work. As it was hot, Devaiah ventured into the river and drowned.

Napoklu Police, who reached the spot, summoned expert swimmers and divers, who fished out the body from the river. Napoklu Police have registered a case.
