Manipal Hospitals hosts Basic Life Support Flash Mob at Nexus Centre City Mall

Mysore/Mysuru: Manipal Hospitals, Mysuru, recently hosted a ‘Basic Life Support (BLS) Flash Mob’ at Nexus Centre City Mall, capturing the attention of hundreds of shoppers and visitors.

The event aimed to raise awareness and educate public on life-saving techniques.

Through a series of interactive flash mob performances, medical professionals from Manipal Hospitals demonstrated crucial BLS techniques. Attendees learned how to respond effectively in emergency situations, gaining confidence and skills that could potentially save lives.

Intensive care specialist consultants Dr. Mahadev and Dr. Rakesh demonstrated steps of BLS.

Dr. Upendra Shenoy, Chief of Medical Services at Manipal Hospitals, who spoke on the occasion, said “Basic Life Support is a crucial skill that everyone should possess. Through this flash mob, we aimed to educate the public in an innovative and memorable manner, ensuring that more people are equipped to act swiftly in emergency situations.”

Pramod Kunder, Hospital Director, said, “This event underscored the importance of learning basic life support techniques. In case of an emergency, it is vital to act promptly and seek immediate care by rushing to a well-equipped emergency room. Our goal is to ensure that the community is both informed and prepared.”
