Media should be unbiased, says Prof. Nissar Ahmed

Mysuru: Nadoja Prof. K.S. Nissar Ahmed, who is scheduled to inaugurate Dasara-2017 atop Chamundi Hill at 8.45 am tomorrow, arrived in city this noon. He was welcomed at the Government Guest House by Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, MP Pratap Simha, DC D. Randeep, ADC T. Yogesh and others.

He was accompanied by his wife Shenawaz Begum, son Naveed Ninad, daughter-in-law Ruman Naveed, grandson Akhib Ninad and others.

The poet, speaking to reporters on his arrival at the Government Guest House said that he was very happy to be in Mysuru for the inauguration of Dasara.

Referring to the media with special reference to the Electronic Media, the poet said that it was unnecessarily highlighting political squabbles and crime, thus distorting the minds of the viewers and added that media in general should perform unbiasedly as judges.

Speaking about Bengaluru, Prof. Nissar Ahmed said that the city was totally polluted in all aspects and appreciated Mysuru for still retaining its glory.
