Mobile de-addiction is need of the hour

December 6, 2019

Sir,

Apropos “Nuisance of technology and mobile addiction” (SOM dated Dec.5), I wish to add that the technology in general and mobile technology in particular  is taking the entire generation to a disastrous ruin of young energy which was supposed to be taking the nation towards intellectual upliftment.

The sad end to a story, rather sarcastic: “Once there was an active boy and his mom gifted him a mobile on his birthday…” says it all.

Youngsters are now unable to live without their extended appendage of their bodies —the all pervading mobile.

Now we will have to head towards mobile de-addiction like the alcohol de-addiction to save our society from intellectual standstill.

The unhealthy eating of junk and unhealthy mobile addiction will take our society to dogs if we do not wake up now.
