Mysuru: Vidwan Mysuru N. Srinath will present a vocal music concert at the monthly moonlight music programme to be organised at Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill at 6 pm on Apr. 19. Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.
Profile: Vidwan Mysuru N. Srinath is one of the renowned classical Karnatak music artistes. Having learnt his early music lessons from Vidushi K.G. Kanakalakshmi, he learnt his advanced lessons from stalwarts such as Dr. S. Ramanathan, Vid. R.K. Narayanaswamy, Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan and Vid. R.N. Taranathan. Having earned his Music degree from University of Madras, he is a B-High grade artiste of Mysuru Akashavani and has performed in many national and international concerts.
Among the many awards he has won include ‘Asthana Vidwan’ of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and ‘Rotary Ranga’ of Rotary Mysore.
He will be accompanied on the violin by Vid. C.N. Thyagarajan, a Madras Akashavani artiste, on the mridanga by Vid. P. Nataraj of Mysuru, a B-High grade artiste of AIR Mysuru and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on mridanga and ghata, according to a press release.
