Mysuru: A day after the KPSC (Karnataka Public Service Commission) conducted the KAS re-exam for appointment of 384 gazetted probationer posts, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has lamented the lapses in the translation of question paper and mix-up of OMR sheets of candidates.
In a post on social media site X, Yaduveer said the KPSC conducted the re-exam on Sunday as there was public outcry over serious lapses concerning translation issues in the exam held in August this year. But now, translation mistakes and OMR sheet issues have recurred in the re-exam held on Sunday too, which is disappointing to note. The Congress Government, which claims itself to uphold Kannada pride, has faltered in the conduct of KAS exam in a proper manner. The lapses in the question paper have shattered the dreams of thousands of KAS aspirants, he opined.
Maintaining that the Congress Government has failed in providing translation error-free question paper to the aspirants, who are a confused lot due to serious lapses in translation, Yaduveer Wadiyar wondered how many times the Government want to dash the hopes of thousands of examinees through its follies. Such lapses in the conduct of exams goes to show the irresponsibility and incompetence on the part of the Government, the MP said in the post.
